MELISSA MORRILL, OWNER - AAHCC, CBE, DOULA

Melissa Morrill, founder of Natural Lullabies, is a certified childbirth educator, doula, yoga enthusiast, certified breastfeeding educator, and co-leader of Attachment Parenting International of Tulsa. Melissa graduated from the University of Tulsa with a degree in Finance. Melissa worked at WilTel Communications for over 3 years before opening Natural Lullabies. She is the mother of three boys, Cameron was born the hospital, Foster at home in the water (read birth story here) and our recent addition of Emerson (born April 2008). She has also attended over 50 births as a labor doula.

ALICIA STEPHENS, B.G.S, M.H.R

Alicia Stephens, B.G.S., M.H.R joined our team in 2006 as the Baby Signs Instructor. Additionally, Alicia helps in areas such as event planning, cloth diaper demonstrations and research. Alicia is a La Leche League leader and is currently pursuing her Ph.D. She is the mother to 1 daughter and is expecting her second baby in the fall of 2008.

CELESTE MCNEAL, YOGA INSTRUCTOR

Celeste has been a certified Kundalini Yoga teacher since 2005. Known as the Yoga of Awareness, she uses tools from this ancient technology to help women awaken and access their highest awareness during pregnancy, birth, child rearing and life in general.

Raised in a family that honors natural health, nutrition and the innate power of the body, Celeste strives to remind us that we have the ability to heal and achieve anything we wish. She has a Bachelor's degree in Holistic Health from Hendrix College in Conway, Arkansas. Her first childhood memory is of her younger sister being born at home. This formative experience led her to pursue being a doula and empowering women to birth intuitively and fearlessly. She longs for the day when there are birthing centers next to every hospital and doulas available to all woman.

Celeste has two black lab puppies and is excited to have children once she is finished roaming the world. Celeste teaches: Prenatal Yoga

SUSAN MARTINEZ, MA, LMFT - PARENTING CLASS INSTRUCTOR

Susan Martinez graduated from Notre Dame de Namur University in 2000 with a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology specializing in Marriage, Family, and Child Counseling. Susan recently moved to Tulsa from California where she provided family therapy in her private practice. Prior to being in private practice, Susan worked in a family therapy agency where she was the parent education program coordinator and instructor and provided a wide range of counseling services to children, adolescents, and adults in individual, group, and family therapy. Susan is the mother of Alicia and Jonathan.

DEENA LICHT, RN, IBCLC - BREASTFEEDING CLASS INSTRUCTOR

Deena is married and has 4 wonderful children ages 15 to 1. She is a registered nurse and internationally board certified lactation consultant (IBCLC). She has been a nurse for 11 and an LC for 10 years. She has worked Nursery, NICU, Labor and Delivery, Mother Baby, and most recently in a Breastfeeding Resource Center. She has been teaching prenatal breastfeeding classes for 8 years and teach breastfeeding workshops for other nurses, LLL leaders, and physicians. She is training to become a midwife and would like to eventually become a CPM. She is also foster mother to two great children.

EMILY FRITTS - BABY SIGN LANGUAGE INSTRUCTOR

Emily graduated from the University of Washington in 2004 with a degree in Interdisciplinary Arts
and Sciences, hoping one day to become a teacher when her children start school. She and
her husband moved to Tulsa in 2004 and started their family. They have two boys, Ethan who is
3, and Owen who is 1. Emily has been interested in the deaf culture since high school where she worked with deaf children on a regular basis. Every since then she decided that she would somehow make a difference in the deaf community. Emily took sign language courses in college and is now
teaching the language at her son’s preschool and to families here at Natural Lullabies.

JILLIAN NIELSEN, YOGA INSTRUCTOR

Jillian is the mother to one daughter and the instructor for Mommy & Me Yoga and Diaper/Toddler Yoga. Jillian has attended YogaFit Level 1 and YogaFit Level 2 trainings. She provides a peaceful presence in her yoga classes combined with patience and understanding for new mama's.

JAMIE CLAY, ART INSTRUCTOR

Jamie is a mother of two children, both of whom are homeschooled. She has three years experience as an art instructor and nine years of experience painting murals. She is a long time customer of Natural Lullabies and brings with her a wonderful creative spirit and patience with children. She also has experience working with art in a preschool environment.
