YOGA FAQ'S
Can I take the class if I have never done Yoga before?
Yes! This class is designed for women of all levels. We will be modifying our yoga poses so that they are safe for pregnancy and safe for beginners. You will be able to change your modifications to the level of intensity you are feeling up to for that class.
Do I need to ask my Doctor or Midwife before I take this class?
Yes. It is very important that you speak to your Doctor prior to engaging in any physical activity during pregnancy or before beginning a new exercise program. If you are pregnant, we are required to have you fill out paper work that states you have previously discussed this with your Doctor before coming to class and that you have been released to attend.
When can I start taking Yoga during my pregnancy?
Please check with your healthcare provider. Studies have shown that yoga is safe throughout the entire gestational period, but all women are different and may have special situations to consider so it good to check first. Some recommendations have been stated that yoga should not be started in the first trimester, so we always recommend speaking to your Doctor or Midwife first.
Do I need to bring my own yoga mat?
